I was in search of a way to display RTL(Right to Left) languages like Arabic in our flash applications. My search ended in one of the OSFLASH projects. Here are the details and link to the homepage.
What is RTL?
The Ability to write from right to left in every where called RTL.
For years and years there was problem in Macromedia Flash that bothers most of the eastern developers with right to left writing language. This failure was refer to the problem of Flash Player with all RTL languages (Like: Persian, Arabic, Hebrew, …).
Now it’s possible for you to write RTL in Macromedia Flash. Now you are capable to write both LTR and RTL in same text and have result with the rules of RTL and LTR.
This project is collection of free classes that will bring RTL method to macromedia flash after installation. These collections were maddened specifically for Persian language but it can be usable for all RTL languages.
